Northeast Regional Medical Center is a regional referral center for an 11-county area in northeast Missouri. A 109-licensed bed facility located in Kirksville, Northeast is affiliated with Community Health Systems, one of the largest hospital networks in the nation. NRMC, in collaboration with A T Still University and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, provide teaching opportunities in seven residency programs. Named a Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospital in 2007 and 2009, NRMC also accepted the Everest Award in 2009 for exceeding national benchmarks in patient safety, outcomes and efficiency. Northeast is also an accredited Chest Pain Center.
