Sullivan County Memorial Hospital (SCMH) is a not-for-profit, Critical Access Hospital located in rural north central Missouri in the county seat of Milan. The hospital was established in 1953 by the taxpayers and has remained the only acute care facility in Sullivan County.  In the spring of 2003, the hospital, staff and community celebrated fifty years of continual service to the residents of Sullivan County; a fact that brings much pride to all associated with the hospital and proves the degree of support by the entire area.

OUR MISSION... to meet the healthcare needs of our community by providing quality health services designed to restore and maintain good health.

Each year, SCMH sponsors events to support the health and wellness of our residents.  Two health fairs are held at the hospital annually, as well as onsite fairs at local employer locations.  These include laboratory draws, men's and women's health exams at reduced prices, and a host of educational/screening booths such as bone density, pulmonary function testing, arthritis, osteoporosis and dermatology screenings.

Educational opportunities offered at SCMH are BLS (CPR), ACLS, PALS, TNCC and CNA classes.  careLearning in-service education is provided for all employees.
