The Northeast Missouri Health Council, Inc. operates nine health clinics and one dental clinic which receive funding from the Department of Health and Human Services to help qualifying patients pay for office visit charges.
Payment assistance is available in the form of reduced charges for office visits. Qualification for assistance is determined by verifiable income level and family size. Verficiation is determined by patients providing a copy of their IRS 1040 income tax return for the preceding year, or by a copy of their most recent paycheck. Exceptions are made in some instances for adverse circumstances.

Fees for additional services, tests or supplies are not included in office charges.
The Northeast Missouri Health Council, Inc. also contracts with the Veteran's Administration to provide local clinic services to veterans in northeast Missouri, and operates the Adair County W.I.C. (Women, Infants and Children) Program.
