The Linn County Ambulance District (LCAD) was formed in 1976.  Based in Brookfield, Missouri, LCAD serves all of Linn County and provides mutual aid response for its surrounding counties.  The district operates three
Advanced Life Support ambulances and responds to an average of over 1,500 calls annually.

The LCAD also provides inter-facility transfer services for residents and
operates a training center providing CPR and first-aid classes for area
groups.

Between calls, the staff remains occupied by providing public relation services including free blood pressure clinics to seniors and educating
local elementary school students on the topics of health, emergency 911
services and safety.
